JACKSONVILLE, Florida – One person and a possible suspect were injured in custody after the shooting was reported in Southside on Tuesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The JSO said the shooting occurred at the 4300 block of Shallow Lake Drive. Officers were called to the scene shortly after 8 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
At the scene, the Joint Monitoring Organization said that officers found a man with a gunshot wound. The age of the victim was not revealed. Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. JSO said a potential suspect is in custody and the incident appears to be local in nature.
