Murray has a happy comeback, Cruz after 38-10 Cowboys

Arlington, Texas – Kyler Murray captured three touchdowns in his first home game as a pro, as Ezekiel Elliott set up the first two TDs in Arizona with a fumble and the Cardinals beat the Dallas Cowboys 38-10 Monday night.

The fast-paced midfielder who won three high school championships and a Big 12 title at the Cowboys home improved to 7-0 as a start at AT&T Stadium, scoring two goals despite a tough start in the air and the 74-yard dash and TD.

It was the first “Monday Night Football” match for Murray, a Texas high school superstar while playing in suburban Dallas, and Cliff Kingsbury, who also had a happy first trip back home to Texas as an NFL coach.

Launched after six seasons at Texas Tech in 2018 without any winning records in the Big 12 matches, Kingsbury was hired by Arizona shortly after and the Cardinal (4-2) took second place in the tough NFC West. Arizona crossed 0.500 late in the season for the first time since 2015, its most recent consecutive year.

Andy Dalton had his remaining four Dallas turnovers with two interceptions in his debut for the Cowboys in place of injured superstar Duck Prescott, right on the road as he had a notable career in TCU.

The nine-year-old at Cincinnati led a back-coming victory over the New York Giants in Week five after a terrifying compound fracture in Prescott’s right ankle. There was nothing quite like a rally this time.

While the Dallas crime didn’t seem close to the leading unit in the NFL, it was with Prescott – and lost the fourth out of five men in an expected attack line four times All-Pro Zack Martin (concussion in the first quarter) – Elliott’s mistakes led to The fifth game in a row the Cowboys trailed by at least two touchdowns.

The Cowboys (2-4) overcame two of those deficits, which is why they ensured they would remain # 1 in woeful NFC East no matter what happened in their last three successive home matches – and their third straight road match for Arizona.

Elliott was on the bench for a short time after the two-time champion lost a second stumble in the same match for the first time in his career. He has five Feelings (four lost) already this season – one shy of his high career for an entire season as the NFL’s worst turnover margin has dropped to -12 with four gifts and no ready meals.

Murray was playing in the $ 1.2 billion stadium with a retractable roof and giant video board for the first time since he led Oklahoma over rival Texas there in a Big 12 tournament match.

While the 2018 Heisman award winner failed to score eight of his first 11 passes and finished 9 of 24 at 188 yards, Murray hit Christian Kirk with a pitch on an 80-yard drop To lead 21-0 in the second quarter.

Kirk opened the scoring on a 6-yard jet pass that counted as a pass after Elliott’s first fumbling. Kenyan Drake scored from 1 post Elliot II missed, While Murray added 1 yard from TD.

With the game spinning out of control for the last two minutes, Drake shot off from 69 yards, giving him 164 yards.

Injuries

Martin was briefly injured and back, then finally exiting after taking his knee on the helmet. Player of the Year Conor McGovern took his place, leaving left goalkeeper Connor Williams as the only player still in the squad.

Pandemic crowd

The Cowboys have had fans in all four of their home matches, and the biggest to date was (barely) 25,174 against the Cardinals. Although this was the most favorable place for the Coronavirus so far with the retractable roof opening for the first time, the TV footage showed many fans without masks on their noses. Dallas fills about 31% of the 80,000-seat stadium. The state permits up to 50%.

next one

The Cardinals: Seattle will begin at Home on Sunday a set of three consecutive home games slated to also include Farewell, which means Arizona won’t be on the road for a month except for the COVID-19 changes.

Cowboys: Washington on Sunday in the first two back-to-back matches on the road against NFC East opponents.
